The title of this web page refers to many mysteries I have found in Spain during the decade I lived there and having returned to Spain for a month or two every year for over two decades more. A mystery is anything that is kept secret or remains unexplained or unknown, according to Dictionary.com. Also, it is something that presents features or qualities so obscure as to arouse curiosity or speculation.

The purpose of this web page is to share secrets and to explore for the understanding and explanation of some of these secrets, which all aroused a healthy curiosity in me. Many times, when I was confronted with a new aspect of the history or culture, it was not enough for me to say – that’s interesting, that’s nice. Many times, I wanted to know more, to the point I have studied some of these mysteries for years. I am grateful for this opportunity to share some of my investigations with you.
